The iSmart DS team have released kernel 1.03 for the iSmart premium. The main addition to the kernel is special mode as seen on several recent devices- a mode that runs with minimal patching which coupled with other features means AP checks are bypassed. It comes at the cost of no cheats and things like that.

Step 1:

First you will need software for M3i zero card. You can get it downloaded from here :

Before continuing it is suggested you format your micro SD/ SDHC card in your computer. You may also find it useful to give you micro SD card a volume label when formatting. This makes it easier to identify your card.

In the 2nd download window double click "F-core" and you should see F_CORE.DAT file. Transfer this as well on to the micro sd card's root. Now take the micro sd out and insert in M3i card whilst gently inserting the M3i cable in the small hole on the other side of M3i card.

Step 5:

Now connect the M3i card via small USB cable in your pc and let the red (mostly) or blue flashing light come to an end after 30 seconds.

Thats it. The M3i is now setup and ready to be used.

2. Decompress the downloaded the file using “wrar380” (or higher version) program that has been downloaded and saved in your computer system.

-          Double click on the downloaded file compressed file and WinRAR will be opened up.

-          Select “Extract To” on the top menu bar and follow the instruction and have the firmware decompressed. Please remember the folder or directory where the decompressed files and folders are stored.

3. Copy 1 folders “_ak2” and 1 file “akmenu4.nds” onto your MicroSD root directory.

4. That completes the whole installation.

　　After download the file, unzip it and save it to your hard drive (e.g. C:iSmartDS).
　　You should see the sub-folder ‘SYSTEM’ under the folder (C:iSmartDS in step 1) you saved to. Connect your MicroSD card to your computer with the USB reader included in the package.
　　Copy the folder SYSTEM that you uncompressed from the download file to your MicroSD memory card. You should see the folder SYSTEM under your MicroSD memory card.
